I find this product quite useless. The reception is unacceptable. Very grainy and single a few stations were expected. Very disappointing result.

I can’t say if this ship’s mast works well or not as I cannot connect it to my digital converter box. The connecter end piece on the ship’s mast is smaller than the connecter on the box so it will not screw on as the sizes don’t match. A friend of mine had the same problem with a different strain of converter box. I don’t know if this is RCA’s goof or the box manufacturer’s mistake but now I have to see if I can find some sort of adaptor.

My experience falls small of most of the other reviews I read. Perhaps I need to extend the cable and position the unit near the bedroom window.?

This ship’s mast has the capability with the converter of bringing in local television HD telecasts. Since cable has modest to offer apart from in some premium channels and sports this serves a useful purpose. It also provides an intro to an online site giving directions for pointing the ship’s mast.

Its a super-simple and low-priced indoor ship’s mast that works fantastic for HDTV. Don’t be fooled into thinking you have to buy a super expensive ship’s mast to get an brilliant HDTV signal. I was capable to influence in about 30 + channels in my area. The picture feature was really enhanced when I switched to this ship’s mast. Your experience may vary.
